About this paint

Set paint shop scheme to the first one, the other two will block the bat logo or the piping with numbers. Use black/black/black for numbers to produce a car with no visible numbers. This attempts to mimick the piping style of following the bodywork that the original Batmobile used, rather than attempting to mimick the patterns used. This is based on the 1966 Batmobile reference photos from http://www.1966batmobile.com/sideview.htm The photos show labels coming and going and even the style of labels changing from black text on unbordered pink, to black text on pink and yellow bordered labels. In short, there is no single "canonical" set of gadgets, labels, nor piping on the original car, so I picked a few gadgets and labels to put in places where there was clearly room to place them on the iRacing SRF without being interfered with by iRacing's stamps: the Bat-Ray and Deicer on the front, and a gas emitter in the rear. The Ford and Barris Customs emblems on the side are debatable, but it is clear from the historical record that there was a Barris Customs emblem on the side at all times, even in the earliest shots. At some point Barris Customs swapped from a winged to a non-winged emblem, and the highest-quality modern-day shots show the Ford emblem next to it, but it's clearly a later addition to the car. However, since this is the Spec Racer Ford after all, I've opted for that particular configuration. If you want a version of this without the gadget icons and labels, that can be found at
