About this paint

*Paint updated for 2026 Evo Upgrade*

Concept livery design inspired by the 1986, Spa 24hr winning, BMW 635 CSi.

An idea I've been sat on for a while but the recent appearence of this design on the #69 M4 GT3 in WEC gave me the extra push to do something with it!

As such, I've blended fractal M colour schemes and large exposed carbon sections seen on more modern BMW prototypes with the classic parts car design and a blacked out cockpit intended to evoke the canopy style seen on Group C cars of the 1980's era.

Be sure to take a look at the detail photos for a better look at the drawings of the engine, cockpit and front axle!

Samuel J Ball Pro

Cornwall based livery designer and graphic artist. I mostly enjoy creating paints for prototypes with as much detail as possible, bold geometric shapes and a healthy dose of asymmetry. A lot of my inspiration coming from later Audi LMP1 cars and BMW prototypes. Designs range from my own concept liveries to real world replicas as well as liveries brought to iRacing for Sean Bull Design, William Almkvist, Madsen Motorsport, Forbush Performance and more!
