About this paint

Casey Atwood is one of the "what could have been" stories in NASCAR from the early 2000s. A promising Busch Series talent from the late 90s never panned out in the Cup Series for whatever reasons. While Atwood was chosen to fill one of the seats in Ray Evernham's new Dodge team, struggles in the 19 coupled with a perceived lack of effort from the driver saw Atwood shipped off to satellite team Ultra Motorsports with a technical alliance. Now Ultra-Evernham Motorsports, which traced its roots back to Alan Kulwicki's AK Racing, replaced the faltering Melling Racing in the Dodge system. Despite this, Atwood continued to struggle and would be dumped from the ride before the conclusion of the 2002 season, being replaced with Jason Leffler.
