We've released a few updates to Trading Paints today to coincide with the iRacing 2021 Season 4 update.
Added much-requested filters and sorting to the Collections section of the Trading Paints website. You can now filter by vehicle and whether or not it has AI, and you can sort by Trending, Newest, or number of favorites.
Improved the look and feel of individual Collections pages so individual paints within a Collection look a little nicer and so that pertinent information is displayed more clearly.
We also added some more information to individual Collections pages about how to use them as AI rosters/carsets in iRacing. As a reminder, if you favorite an AI-Ready Collection, it should appear as a selectable roster in the iRacing UI once you restart the Trading Paints Downloader and iRacing UI.
We added an AI-Ready Collection indicator to Collections listing pages (Collections page, My Favorite Collections, My Collections, User Profiles) so it's more obvious when the Collection you're looking at can be used as an AI roster in iRacing.
Known issue: the Back button on an individual Collection page doesn't take you back to your filtered search. We're working on this.
We released Trading Paints Downloader version 2.0.36, which includes support for iRacing's new Hosted AI sessions and fixes a few minor bugs. If you have Downloader installed, it should update automatically the next time you open the program.
Known issue: Joining a Hosted AI session as an opponent (where you're not the one hosting) and exiting the sim won't delete the AI roster file that was used, so you might see a roster that the host used as a selectable roster even if you haven't favorited it. This will be fixed in a future release.
Known issue: Joining a Hosted AI session as an opponent (where you're not the one hosting) before the host joins will not load AI paints when the host arrives. This will be fixed in a future release.
To match iRacing's updates, we've made the following changes:
iRacing released Hickory Motor Speedway today. Look for the Trading Paints banner on the backstretch near Turn 3. Tweet us your screenshots with the billboard!
(Yes, we bought a billboard for the season at the real track in anticipation of iRacing's scan.)
Happy painting and best of luck in Season 4!
